Hit the river today from 11 to 5. Launching sucked at Wethersfield cove and the fishing was the same way. Out of 3 of us we only got one bite. That one bite was a pike that decided it was going to take my jig and snap the line on the hookset.
After that we headed down to White Oaks where we again skunked it up for the better part of 2 hours. Then we hit the wind blown bank, and that seemed to be the answer.
All of our fish were caught on chartruse spinner baits and shakey heads. All of the fish were kindof shallow near some sort of structure, either weeds or laydowns.
It was starting to get late so we hiked it back to Cove W and fished our way through the channel. I got a 1lbr on a blk/blu jig, and that was it for the trip. Off the water by 5:30. _________________ Catch and release only.

Nice fish. One of the fish that we caught in the Salmon River had black lips, like it was going goth for Halloween.
I read somewhere that chartreuse is a good color for spinnerbaits in the Fall. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

For some reason your brother has the same full bag of pretzels in the same hand as in the pic with your Dad's fish too. Were you guys passing the same fish around the boat for pics. Hmmmm... |

Yup, you guys figured it out this time! If you just scanned the pictures it looked like it was 3 different fish but if you look closely it was actually the same fish! We got three pictures of it because it was the first fish we had seen in 4 hours of fishing.
And by the way the fish went 2.5lbs, our best fish out of the river in three trips. _________________ Catch and release only.

Well...as long as they had fun out there...that's what really matters. I just thought it seemed like a weird coincidence. |
