Went out solo Dawg was doing soccer, Phil was away I think. Got out at 5:55am weather was good a little cool no wind. No sun either moon was still up. I only had about 4 hours, so I only fished half the pond. This place is a beautiful place. I was using a 1/2oz Black w/a little Silver spinnerbait. I ended up with 3LMB 1st was 15" 1lb-9oz, 2nd 16" 1lb-15oz, the third which I did not get to measure or weight was a good size one. I did not have a chance to do as the morning went on the wind was picking up, and I had the fish on the left side of my kayak. and I was getting blown into a large rock out cropping, so I decided to pull around to the right side and the fish swam into the side of my kayak bait first and spit the Spinnerbait. I was able to lip the fish for a second but I did not want to slam the fish into the rocks. My best guess was 18" and about 3lb. saw a bunch of deer sipping the pond water about 12 or 13 in about 3 seperate groups. That's always a cool sight. I have a few pictures I will post them later in the week.

Tim, I'm wondering if it's illegal to bow hunt from a kayak.... Now you got me thinking! Deer never expect a shot from the water _________________ Daryl

Daryl, I was just talking to one of my co-wokers who is a fowl hunter. He grew up in that area and when I showed him the pictures and told him where they were. He told me that was not state land anymore. As far as getting the Deer back on a Kayak that mite be tricky not sure what the laws our for hunting Deer in a kayak. I think water fowl can be taken in a Kayak.
