Got out real early. Put in and quickly found some fish on 5-8fow over rock. I nabbed two on a tube, dropped a good one while jim caught one and a pickerel.
Fished around alot more and got two more on a tube, two on a trap, watched jim lose a solid 4-5lb+largemouth boatside on the last dive and left to hit another lake. Then some blonde in a caddy slammed into my rearend- no homo.
POETIC JUSTICE. Boats toast, trailers toast, motors toast, ripped the hitch and all the frame off of my truck south of the rear leafsprings. Trucks got exstensive frame damage so im sure its going to get totaled.
Thanks for coming out flippy, maybe better luck next time

Given the truck, boat and trailer situation, I won't give you any grief about the Lake X report. I'm sorry to hear about the collision, but glad that you guys are apparently okay. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Glad your okay Nick! That really stinks! At least its toward the end of the boat weather, so you have all winter to get things back in order before the spring. Get a good lawyer and make sure you get all your stuff replaced, and make sure to take care of yourself medically if you are in any pain. Sometimes just getting checked out after that type of impact or wreck even if you aren't in pain istn't a bad idea. _________________ Daryl

Im not a big fan of sueing people over made up injuries, goes against my morales but if I dont get the total worth of the boat/trailer/motor from insurance il be contacting them for a settlement outside of court. Looks like a 20foot stratos will be the next rig. |

Ok. Let me tell the story..... First of all I had my ass handed to me, ya I did lose a nice one, when we left I realized that there was a sunken BANANA at the boat ramp, thats why I couldnt catch poopie, Now Nicks boat was soaken wet and as I sat down my ass got soaked, and Nick laughed at me, so we decided to go to another lake, we stop at a gas station to get some munchies, and thats when I find out Nick hasnt had twinkies since he was like 14, So we got twinkies and some drinks, we head to the other lake and realized we missed a turn, so as we were sitting at a light we get rammed, it wasnt funny but it was because Nick got out of the truck with his pants soaked from an AMP drink, and people driving by told him there was a restaurant with restrooms, that was freakin funny. Anyway, this lady took her eye off the road for a second and slammed right into us, I would say that the boat motor and trailer are totalled, the bumper of the truck was snapped and severely tweaked, also a leaf spring bracket had snapped, the bed of the truck is lifted a bit off the frame, apparently it was a good hit,Her Escalade is going to need some $$$ repair, I hadnt had a fishin trip that exciting in years, Nick thank you I will give you a call soon and we will go to Candlewood, I guess we will use my boat. Oh and by the way, Lake X is Besek |

Lake X reports are useless! It's just a self-promotion post. That was the problem with CTFisherman.
Good luck with the accident. Hopefully her insurance can get you all new goodies.

I gotta say I have no problem with Lake X reports from reputable people like Nick. Most places that are put up as lake X are areas with limited access. In a lot of cases, people have worked hard to achieve access to these places and deserve a right to keep them "to themselves." I have one place I often do not post about because the access is so dicey, I am nervous for anyone to try to get on it and shut the few of us that fish it down.
Frankly, as long as people are talking technique, temp, weather, and structure, the name of the lake is irrelevant in 95% of the cases. Only time it matters if you were fishing an impoundment with or without current.
My $.02 when it wasn't even asked for
