Can you get into Keeney Cove in a bass boat? I just want to be sure before I tear my boat up trying to get in there. |

You could get a bass boat into the lower section at high tide. Check a tide table before you go or you might get stuck in there for a while. I spoke with a guy in Wethersfield Cove who said that he once put his bass boat directly into Keeney Cove from the launch on Point Road:
The boat launch ramp there is very narrow and steep. It's fine for canoes and kayaks, but a bass boat would be a challenge. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

can you get in there.....yes depending on the tide. getting out same problem. you may have a really long day fishing if you have to weight for the tide. I remember a few years ago somebody went in there during a tourney and had a giant bag, on is way out the tide changed and he had to drag his 16 foot tracker all the back to deeper water and was DQ'd when he would have won.
I've never been past the bridge. |

SkeeterJim and I set in once at Point road with our small jon boats. Never again.
I would even try my bass boat.
Just my 2 cents. _________________ Sleep...Eat...Fish!!!!! Then do it all over again. |
