fished from 10:30ish to about 1:00 in the afternoon, fished every inch of the pond and ended up catching some good sized pickeral. My buddy mike caught 4 big pickerals, i got 3 good sized ones, and my other friend got a small largemouth and 1 little pickeral. Only got a chance to get our hands on one of the fish because they all wiggled of the hook when we got them to the boat. Very cold and windy, the sun came out around noon to 1. The fish were caught with senkos and spinnerbaits.

What do you consider to be a big pickerel? 18 inches and up?

yep,and most of them were in the 18 to 20 range with the exception with a few in the 12 to 15 range. Thats what i love about halls, the bass fishing slows down, then the pickeral fishing picks up in vice versa. plus its a pretty remote, quit, beautiful place to fish. My personal favorite place to fish

This was my first yr fishing halls. Me and a buddy fished it about 5 times and always got at least a 3 lber. alot of pickerel but nothing huge. Your right it is a great place especially when there is wind. the islands break that up and give a good day fishing. far ride for meabout an hour 20 but worth it.
