Hey everyone, im new to this site so here goes my first post. Went to simsbury reservoir behind Master's School at 6:30am. Pretty overcast early on, and got sunny as the morning progressed. I had a white buzzbait, a white spinnerbait, and a kevin vandam caffiene shad rigged up on my 3 rods.
Worked the buzzbait for a bit around exposed weeds and the edge of the water for roughly 30 min and got nothing. Switched to the spinnerbait, and had a smalll bass first cast.
I fished pretty shallow water around weeds and ended up catching 5 small bass all on the spinnerbait. Tried the shad worm for a bit around a submerged tree and only had a nibble.
I think the spinnerbait is the way to go this time of year, well for me so far.

first post....theyll get better hopefully haha

Yeah i was. Theres little clearings on the shore randomly throughout the "trail" along the whole body of water, so my fishing was kind of limited to those areas. The over hanging branches and small clearings make the fishing kinda brutal haha. At the big end of the res. it opens up and theres a little beach where you can fish from but there's no cover or any features.

Welcome to the site, thanks for posting and good job on the outing!
You must be a die hard if you carry multiple rods when fishing from shore!
I carry less rods when i fish from my kayak!
