Decided to try someplace new for me so I went to Morey Pond this morning. On the water at around 10:00 AM. There was one other boat there, fishing the right corner, opposite the tunnel. I worked the side opposite the launch, and drifted toward the tunnel. I was thowing a spinnerbait with a Yamamoto doubletail grub with no hits. Switched to a wacky rigged Senko, and got some hits, but they felt like smaller fish. The other boat worked his way back to the launch, and shorlty after he left, another boat came on and that person promptly motored to that same right corner opposite the tunnel, so I figure that must be a productive area on this side.

Went through the tunnel...very cool. Coming out of the tunnel I went left and into the cove by the highway. Only light hits on the Senko, so I switched to a black spinnerbait, and landed a small bass about 12 ins. I wanted to check the rest of the pond so I paddled counterclock wise around the pond, just throwing the spinnerbait when an area looked good . Very clear water, not much vegetation, at least along the shore. Went all the way around and on the last quarter before getting back to the tunnel there is some vegetation...although still not alot, it gave me something to throw into. I was still throwing the black spinnerbait and landed an 18 in., 3 pounder (I have a picture but unfortunately no "publicly accessible server" to post it to.

I was back at the launch by 1. So 2 fish in 3 hours, but one at a decent size, so I thought it was pretty good. I saw a lot of small fingerling size bass on side through the tunnel, but was hoping for more visible structure/weed beds that I could attack.

Nice job! The 3lber definitely makes up for the lack of quantity.

Thanks for the report. I've never been to Morey Pond, but would love to check it out. You could upload your photo to imageshack.us for free. There are posts on this site that describe how to do it in detail.
