Decided to stop by the local lake in Killingly and was throwing a 5" watermelon/red flake Yum dinger and thought that I was hung up in the weeds (theres alot of them lol) and the line took off .Caught it about 30ft from shore.Water was crystal clear and ALIVE with bait fish. There was so much movement on the surfacee of the water that it looked like it was raining for about an hour.I weighed him and he was right on the 5Lb mark. |

Nice looking fish Maverick. Not busting balls here but in the future it is not a good thing for the bass to be laying them on the ground/carpet etc. because what happens is you are taking off their protective slime coating which helps them fight off bacteria and infections. Same goes for grabbing their bodies with dry hands which is why it is always good to wet your hands before touching them. Ultimately the less their handled the better for the fish.
