Im looking to get a new spinning reel for salt water. I do a lot of eel drifting when out on the sound and use a lot of plugs when in the mouth of rivers and what not. i was thinking about getting either a Penn Slammer Live Liner or a Shimano Baitrunner. I was just wondering if anyone has either of them or knows what one is better. From what i hear Im leaning twards the Shimano. |

I am a Shimano guy but I use Stradic`s. I have had both, the Baitrunner sucks for plugging and the Penn is heavy. Go Stradic its a few more dollars then the Baitrunner and a world better then both in performance. _________________ The King of Long Island Sound. |
