Hit the water at 6:45am. Fished till around10 am. Water temps 71-73. Pea soup green as usual. Light rain on and off. Picked up two largies on the rocky point. Both fish around 1-1/2 lbs. Worked my way across to the big tube....shallow and rocky
nothin doin there. Motored up to the rock pile buoys. 2 boats there. Switched to a black buzz bait. First cast...serious blow up...missed the hook up. Stayed for a half hour ....nothin. Cruised over to the back cove by the no wake bouys. 2 more largies one of them close to 3 lbs. Got all my bass on a Yamamoto flippin hog texas rigged.
Threw the black buzz bait again. PIKE..PIKE...PIKE. Caught 3 of those things all about the same size ......28" guessing 3-4 lbs. Would have taken pictures.....camera didnt fair so well in the rain....damn. |

The pike bite was on!!! I bet I missed 6 hook ups. they were blowing up on top water!! It was pretty cool. Would rather catch the bass though. The pike make a mess of the boat |

Does anybody know if the DEP is issuing permits for bass tournaments there yet? or is that not ever going to happen?
Or do I need to call Bill Forman and find out for myself? _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

Gary, how would the DEP issue permits for a lake they have no legal access to? I mean few people are still using the launch but giving the circumstances they would not be exempt from getting ticketed and fined if somebody from the town wanted to be a dick about it.
