Hey Guys,

I hit up Lake Saltonstall last night after work with a buddy. We fished from the dock between 7- 8:30 pm. I was using a 5 inch blake/blue flake brush hog and landed a nice 2 lber in about 5 feet of water just off the weeds.
3o mins later, I casted closer to shore probably about 5 feet from the actuall shoreline and felt a heavy sensation, which I thought was just some weeds on the end of my rod, but after I felt a strong tug, I said this is a "big fish"
After fighting the fish from brying itself I landed this beauty, I didnt have my scale on me but we measured it at 20 inches, and I'm guessing it was around
6-8 pounds, just a great way to start the weekend

that is a really nice fish and it looks really solid and heavy. i caught a fish that weighed 5lb 9 oz and it was 20 and 3/4 inch. when i first landed it i estimated it to be 6 lbs. what im saying is big fish are hard to judge because there not common to catch. im not doubting your estimation im just saying it was probably closer to the 5.5 or 6 lb mark. great fish though and congrats.

wow, catch of a lifetime. Get a scale man, It would have been cool to know the actual weight - you can't really judge from a picture.
