I took a couple hours off work on Friday to do a little fishing, I was not going to get out on the weekend. When I left work in Cromwell around 2:15 it was nice out, by the time I got up to the Hartford area on 91N the the wind was blowing like crazy. When I got to my destination it was the same, with the water moving somthing fierce (not sure if the refilling of Rainbow had anything to do with it, someone said it rained pretty good the night before.) I ended up fishing for 5 hours, with decent results. 6 LMB largest was 13-1/2" that looked like it had eaten a wiffle ball, and fought like it was a 3lber. also 2 Pickeral were caught largest was 17" and one Yellow perch. All the Bass were caught on Senkos Wacky and Texas rigged. on multiple colors. Pickeral were caught on a Minnow pattern Rapala, Perch was on a Bluegil pattern Rapala. Which were 2'-4' divers. One of my Kayak friends had given me his spare anchor, which came in handy. Without it my catch would have been a lot less. I haven't had a chance to rig my Kayak for it yet, so I ran the rope thru my front handle and tied it off to one of my rod holders. Came in handy.
