Just bought a new Ranger from Reynolds and had to start the break in period on the motor. I want to get through the lower end of the break in before heading up to New Hampshire for vacation next week so my son-in-law and I dunked it into Lake Housatonic and drove around for an hour then tried to see if we could snag some quick bass before the storm blew in.

Water temps were in the low 80's. Wind was calm. Air temps were in the high 80's barometric pressure was 29.8 and rising.

No luck with the fish. But the new ride was awesome.

The new ride, seen below before its maiden launch, is a new leftover 2009 Ranger VX188 with the comanche package. It swallowed up my 16 rods and all my tackle with some room to spare. It has a 150 hp Yamaha, 101 Fortex Minkota trolling motor, Humminbird 787c (bow) and 997C SI (console) electronics)

Boat handled wonderfully and the ride was far different and better than my little 17' Javelin. Can't wait to have it up on Candlewood today to finish the initial 3 hour break in period.

OK, did you name her?

Oh, and if you need some help breaking her in, I'd be willing to help you out. Just let me know what you need. Very Happy

Awesome ride. That's what my Ranger Reata would look like if it was a true bass boat. Enjoy it!

Walt if that boat shallowed all YOUR tackle and had room to spare it has to have the largest storage in the industry.

Sweet ride good luck with her and tight lines.
