I got out of work a bit early today and decided to try and redeem myself after Saturday. I hit the river again for just under 1hr on the way home. The bad news is I only caught 1 LMB...the good news is I caught my new PB 3lb-1oz LMB. I totally forgot to measure the length because I wanted to get the fish back in the water. Its lower lip looked like a pin cushion and it had a hook in its gut from a previous catch. The water temp was 72deg and I picked this guy up under some overhanging limbs on a 5" senko purple w/ emerald flake. I took a quick couple of pics too.

congrats on the new p/b. I bet you wish that fish wasn't skinny though, with a full belly it would be more around 4lbs. Maybe it needs to stop eating senkos. |

Nice fish! Congrats on the new PB! That beats my best this year by 2oz. It's been rough. _________________ Catch and release only.

lol...it could be. It was farther up river than where you caught yours but in the same general area of the river that was hot on Saturday. It had about 5 or 6 holes in its lower jaw and 2 or 3 in it's upper jaw and a hook in its gut. This fish loves to eat hooks.
DV - I do wish that guy had a bigger meal on Sunday so it would have been a bit heavier.
Thanks Steven...you'll get yours this year I'm sure. |
