I've been wondering about those hard fighters myself. There's some good porgie reports on Noreast.com, apparently they catching jumbos on the East end of Long Island, they will be closer soon.
I'll be looking for them next time out.

caught a few doubles of porgys today while black fishing they were all realy small and came in on sand worms around 25' deep _________________

We caught 1 giant porgie with the Fluke on Saturday fishing old reef off RI beach. Lost quite a few squid strips to them as well _________________ Ed |

Headed out to my porgy spot today from shore.Landed a few nice fish and lost a dooormat fluke as i was pulling it out of the water.Nice to see some nice size porgys.heartbroken over the fluke. |

Last Sunday guys were pulling them in pretty steady at Milstone outlets. |
