i recently got a permit to fish maltby lakes. is this permit only for maltby, or will it work on other lakes such as saltonstall? I have been trying to find some directions but im not sure where the entrence to this place is. so can anyone tell me on what street the entrance is located if you know? and finally what do you reccomend i throw?? Sorry for all the questions but the regional water authority never picks up their phone so i have to turn to you guys for answers. |

I found the entrance gate to get in. The fishing there is ok but it would deffinatly be better during the spring. since there are no boats allowed you cant reach the off shore structure where the bass are holding. but there are nice rock bluffs and down trees which provide excelent structure close to shore. i fished for about 5 hours and hooked up with about 5 fish. a few on a jig with a berkley chigger craw trailer, but my best fish which was prolly around 3 1/2 pounds came on a silver spook. i do have pics but there on my crap phone and i have no idea how to upload them, nothing to really brag about anyway... |

I'd be thrilled with a 3-1/2 pound largemouth bass. But I fish with light action tackle. Maybe you should try lighter tackle! _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
