I had planned to go fishing very early this morning, probably to Bantam River and Bantam Lake, but my wife asked me to drive her to work in Hartford this morning, so my plans went right out the window. Although the sun was blazing, I went fishing at Spring Pond for a few hours, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
I caught only three largemouth bass:
15 inches, 1 lb 5 oz
11 inches
12 inches.
I think I'll stick with early morning or late evening fishing when the sun is shining from now on. I can't handle the vitamin D overdose I get from too much sun.

Sounds like you had a decent trip for full sun afternoon. You did better than I did Sunday. I need to find where those fish are hiding when it's hot out there  |
