I've just been trying to find some new spots to fish and I finally found the Monroe Reservoir and hit it up from 6-7:30 pm today and caught 2 nice lmb both about 2 lbs. Both on buzzbaits.

Where's the Monroe Reservoir? I couldn't find it on Mapquest. Is that it behind you in the first photo? Did you fish from shore? Don't you have a new canoe?

Sorry for all the questions. Very Happy

Hey Peco,

Yes that is it behind me very small place, it's not labeled on mapquest. It's actually Aquarion Water Comp. property, I have their recreational permit so it allows me to fish it, there's not boats, kayaks/canoes allowed only shore fishing.
It's right off rte. 25 in Monroe,CT also known as West Pequonock Reservoir.
I'm waiting on my new trolling motor to arrive before I take the canoe out. Very Happy

Also I took my kayak out on the 4th over at Huntington State Park in Redding, Nice place but only caught 1 pickerel and 1 lmb.

Thanks

Nice job Weekend Angler. Hope your canoe is registered when you put the new trolling motor on.
