I've been Prefishing the CT river the past couple day to find some fish for my tourny, and have been doing real well on any weedline on the river. First i stopped at the discharge fishing only the mouth were the weeds are, all my fish there came on either a buzzbait or a ribbit frog ranging from 2-3 pounds. After i ran up to haddam Meadows and fished thoughs weeds once again all on topwater and all 2-3 pounds. Ran back down river to the salmon where i picked up two real nice ones 4-5 on jigs both on weed lines and then some more on the buzzbaits. Its now low tide and the party boats are out, but rangers handle waves like there not even there , i ran down to hamburg cove where i knew there were some real nice weed lines for me to run my buzzbait through.... Well i got there and saw the some A**hole ran throught them with a boat so know theres barely any weeds but did manige to pull a couple 2-3 pounders out. At about 12 i headed back up to the salmon river boat launch to pack up, the boat launch was packed with idiots that have no idea how to drive a boat or trailer! Concluded the day with a good number and weight as long as i can repeat it on saterday. |

Nice job making a milk run on the river.
If you have an afternoon free on a weekend and you're looking for a comedy show, just park near a boat ramp on the river and watch the dill holes try to launch and load their boats. OH MY GOD it's FUNNY!!!!!! _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |
