So I don't do alot of saltwater fishing mainly only freshwater so I need some advise. I'm going to be using my uncles rod and reel and I was looking at the reel to make sure I knew how to work it. There is the lever to allow the line to free fall to the bottom and the botton to turn the clicker on.
Being use to my freshwater reel I'm thought there would be a drag switch of some sort on this penn reel but can't seem to see how it works. If someone could shine some light on this it would be apprietated. I don't want to hook a monster fish and have my line snap and lose it.
thanks in advance |

I am going to assume there is a aluminum star washer directly underneath the reel handle. Most Penns have there drag system set there. _________________ The King of Long Island Sound. |

On the BIG reels we have a drag lever. On this reel you can see the drag leaver in the free spool position. push it up to that button near the top for strike and on past strike to the forward position to Full. which is 85 # on my 130st's. _________________ "I was so poor growing up that if I wasn't a BOY I'd have had nothing to play with"
