I've caught decent cats (from land) at Lower Bolton, Black Pond, Silver, and Batterson. Of those 4 places, I get the most night bass at Bolton. Use nightcrawlers for the cats and you may end up with a surprise bass (or an eel.) _________________ Kira

silver has channel cats as well. It's to bad you can't fish the Wethersfield cove at night, that place really comes to life at night, you can catch cats, perch, stripers, pike, bass, carp, crappie. _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

thanks for all the info guys. i never ended up going that night but i will be soon. so anyway... on July first i went to silver lake like i said. the wind was out of control. it was shifting from one way to another all the time. all in all i pulled out 4 over twelve and 3 shorts. none of the keepers were over a lb. i find it very disappointing that there are so many small bass in that place with not a hole lot of big ones. |

They're in there but it's hard to catch a decent bass from shore unless you go at night. They're under the pads and in deeper water during the day. _________________ Kira
