ME and my fishing buddy went over to Morey from 1:30-7:30 specifically going for pickerel, but if we hooked into a bass we werent going to be upset. Well thats pretty much all we hooked into. Throughout the entire time we fished there we got one pickerel and 6 largemouth. Not the greatest day, all the bass were between 1-2 pounds, but nothing exceeding 2. First time i have specifically fished for pickerel and not got like 10, must of been too hot.

I was in Old Montreal at a restaurant called Gibby's. There is an item on the menu called Doré Amandine that is described as "wall-eye / pickerel". I looked it up online and read that in english-speaking areas of french Canada they often refer to walleye as pickerel. My guess is that the fish they were cooking was actually walleye.

No, morey is 45 minutes away from me, but we thought it was going to be worth the trip because the last 2 times we went in like 4 hours together we average like 20 fish, but its out near union and is like 5 minutes from mashapaug, most people dont fish it because if they are going to go fishing out that way they might as well drive the extra 5 minutes to fish Mashapaug or one of the ponds around it. Nice little place though if you dont mind catching pickerel. They keep the action going.

I love catching a decent chain pickerel (i.e., 18+ inches). What I don't like are the little ones that destroy your soft plastic baits.

Yeah i hear ya peco, the one i caught that day was like 15, and we tend to catch a lot of the under 18'' ones, but we have broken off on a few well over 20'', so we go back once in a while.
