Hit up the Scantic early this morning as I've never fished it.....Powder Hill/Scantic Rapids area.......figured it would be a bust as it looked to be heavily fished.......was throwing roostertails...start off in the rapids and got a hook up right off the bat.....was a small small mouth bass.....continued up the rapids and hooked up and lost a brown.....a few casts later hooked up another stocked brown about 11-12"......next set of rapids caught a nice little brookie....
hit up Broad Brook in ellingon on the way home and caught a few wild brookies which was fun,,,,,,
all in all a good couple of hours this morning...

| Thanks for the report, I have yet to do to well on the Scantic but then again I have only fished one spot. |

| I was up there on Monday. I couldn't buy a trout, but hooked into a small largemouth above the rapids. The place looked heavily fished by a bunch of litterbugs. I carried out more worm boxes than I can count. LOL |
