Hi!
Nice fish!
I think you must have been on Lake McDonough because Barkhampsted Res. is the drinking water for Hartford and it is illegal to fish or boat on the Res.

Yea it was. lip to tip it was 21 1/2". I wish I had a scale. Im guessing about 6 lbs? maybe? It felt heavy. It put up a hell of a fight. Ive never seen my pole so bent before. I use a 6'6" medium berkley bionix. |

mcdonough largemouth fight just about the hardest i have come across so far in the state. the fish here are healthy and well fed. a 2lber fights like a four in most other lakes. nice fish but im putting that one in the 4lb range. a perfect example of a healthy Mcdonough largemouth. i used to throw lizards a lot and like a lot of other baits i used to throw they sit in a box untouched these days. they can absolutely kill it at times. where abouts do you fish from shore? im trying to picture where you are standing but cant. is that an island above your head? |
