went to the point last night and got 5 sea robins and 2 striper one was 25" and the other was 29". I used the bunker that i caught by the Q-Bridge last week. Slow fishing but relaxing.... was there 2 hours from 9ish to 11pm... |

hey brother i just moved in woodmont and live 3 seconds away from the water...if your in the area let me know i would love to meet up...i need some tips! im a fly fisherman who has recently gotten striper fever!
if you dont mind answering where is "the point"

the point is which is just suttin i call it. dont know what its really called. i know its in milford but the sign says woodmont. so i dont know. as for streets think its belmount st in woodmont. there is a krausiers near there and a bait shop. there is a beach too. 3 minutes from the library in milford. there is a flag post thats pretty good fishing but mad rocks everywhere. They do have a really nice sandbar that i fly fish but not yet still little early. low tide you can walk everywhere and is best in the morning at lowtides. shoot me a mail and leave # next time i am out there will give ya a call... |

ok yea i know exactly where that is and have fished it just once when i first moved in (very early in the season) its where the walk way goes right out into the water right? i live on hawley right around the corner |

I can`t think of the name of the place offhand but the Jetty in Milford by the boat rampp is a great place to flyfish. I am not a fly fisherman myself but I know there is a lot of action to be had there in the summer months ... Also the beach in West Haven in front of Captains Galley is also a great place for you to go. _________________ The King of Long Island Sound. |

Yea was there monday night and got one and lost one along with phone in water. all in all relaxing night even lite off some fireworks. cement walkway with rod holders.. |

I believe your thinking of the slanted piers in woodmont(yes milford) but they call it woodmont.

Place was packed tonight no striper action. Some sea robins and sand sharks thats all... plus the cops were harassing me for my fireworks... Blah party poppers and yes i picked up what i brought with me... LOL good times tho sand eels are coming in in heavy #'s.... |

fishing has been pretty good few blues and few stripers off the jetty.... no picks uncle took the fish.... |

Pops and uncle will be down at jetty tonight or the cove figuring the jetty first till tide is low than the cove on in-coming... will let you know. |
