| Hit Cedar Lake today in Chester for a couple of hours today. Started @ 09:00 and fished until 11:30. Water temps 70 deg throughout the lake with partly sunny to overcast conditions. Started with topwater from pad edges out to 6 fow with nothing to show, then attempted same areas with a swim jig and a Senko type bait and guess what...nothing again! Switched over to a rattle bait from 6-10 f.o.w. over grass that had at least 1-2 feet of water above it. From there boated 3 bass best being 2.5#'s. Fish seemed more scattered today made it a bit tougher to pattern but at least I got to boat a few before having to head home for family obligations. Not great but beat the skunk for a short trip. |
