Went out to our favorite campground this weekend in search of some largemouth bass, and we did find some, 23 to be exact.

We hit the water on friday night and on my 4th cast I hooked up with this 1.5ish largemouth. Nineteen of our fish were this size.

I got another one like that and dad hooked up with a one pounder to end the night.

We hit the water the next morning at 5:30 AM and dad hooked up with the first fish of the day, which was also our biggest of the trip, a 4.25lbr. It measured 20 inches. The following pictures are lessons on how to make your fish look bigger than it actually is. The first picture is without the trick. The second one is with the trick.

Later that day I hooked up with my biggest fish of the trip, this 2 lb 9 ounce fish.

Our other 14 fish that day were, you guessed it, 1.5lbs.

The next day we got up at 6AM and got 2 more 1.5lbs, and two that were 2lbs on the dot. Then it went dead. Absolutely no more bites for the rest of the day. But I'm happy with 23 fish in about two days of fishing.

Ah, so that's the secret. . . . You have to get up at 5:30 AM to catch the big ones!

I fish from a kayak and caught over 20 largemouth bass today. Six were over two pounds. The two biggest ones I weighed were 2 lbs. 11 oz. each. Unfortunately, I dropped the biggest one I caught after I removed the hook and before I could measure it. It was probably at least 3 lbs., but nowhere near 4.25 lbs.! Nice catch!

Yeah its really great that he takes me to all of these places, and he probably wouldn't do it if he didn't love to fish just as much as I do! Very Happy
