On the water by 7:00 off shortly after 11:00. Water temps 65-70. The lake's really warmed up the past 7-10 days. Basically tried to duplicate the pattern from the week before but quicker and was able to do so. Started in drop shot alley and quickly picked up 5 fish 4 bass 1 pickerel. From their headed out to the two small islands middle right and picked up a couple more. Then down to the back fishing the western shoreline. This time I crossed over and fished the cove over by the dam. Those were the best quality fish a couple 3 pound bass and a huge sausage of a pickerel. All fish caught on a drop shot using black grape zoom finesse worm. Many hit it on the way down, but not as many as the weeks before. None of the pickerel did. One hit it reeling in. I'd say 1/3 of the bass hit it when the line was taught. Total count 18 fish, 3 pickerel, 15 bass 5 of which were short. Bab weight probably around 12 #. Not bad for Bashan. |

It sounds like the largemouth bass are lazy feeders in Bashan, too.
I gotta figure that drop shot thing out. Do you have to use monofilament? _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
