I spent four hours on the water today and, for the first time in a week, there was another boat out there. BluegillTerminator and a buddy were on the pond in an enormous canoe!
Unfortunately, the fishing was very slow today. I caught only one largemouth bass that was 16 inches and 1 lb 10 oz on the north shore. I think I jinxed myself a few days ago when I posted that I hadn't hooked a panfish there yet. I caught a black crappie/calico bass/papermouth bass, which makes it two panfish in the past two days. Gotta admit, though, that I'd rather catch a crappie than nothing at all.
Once again, the carp were going at it all over the pond. Someone must have dumped some Viagra in the water because they haven't stopped all week.
BT - I had to run to take my kids to their karate classes at 11:00 AM. I'm sorry I missed you at the end. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Ya we pulled out like 10 minutes after you left. Lost quite a few do to bad hooksets and caught some perch on crankbaits. Those carp ruin everything there. |
