anyone hear about stripers in new haven harbour? trying to figure out where the surfcasting is hot atm for some striped bass.

who says i wasn't just quizzing people to see how much they knew compared to me? but in all honesty i'm putting aside my hubris for now, so i can get some valued opinions of fellow CT fishermen.

ok plopplop i am new to the forum, but i thought this site was to help share information with people who want to know whats going on with connecticut fishing.. maybe i was incorrect in thinking people would want to be helpful and share some tips or knowledge they might have. Therefore i find your response... kind of rude and unhelpful.

manillathrilla I am not familiar with that area but I would find a local bait shop they should be able to point u in the right direction.

i figured this was a forum where people could get information from fellow anglers, not a place for people to vent when they are too scared to vent in real life, just wanted to know if you had heard of stripers being pulled outta there yet..

If I actually knew I wouldn't have a problem letting you know. I've never fished there though so I wouldn't know. I just couldn't resist busting your balls on your intro post.

My guess would be that since the stripers are moving up the rivers there is a very good chance there are fish there.

New haven harbor has been great but only from night. The bunker are in and i have been stocking up on them too. Believe it or not some small blues are even in. Havent landed any striper yet but alot of friends have ive been going to Derby... Been to the old factory inside by the smoke stacks seen striper swimming around at night but they dont want to eat.... Soon enough tho will be out there.... From kayaks cause you cant fish from the bridge the cops dont like it but people still do so lil hint where im at...
