Spent a couple of great hours on Sunday with my 4 y/o daughter. Our first official boat trip of the year. She has been asking for about a month to go out.
Beautiful on a nice lake she caught the first fish of the day a nice size bluegill. That by itself was the worth the trip, she was so excited. Although realistically I was more excited than she was.
I was able to catch a nice 3 lb lmb on a soft jerk bait out of an emerging lily pad field. 3rd fish of the day went to my daughter anothe nice bluegill. My 2nd fish went about 2 lbs caught that one on a frog. Pretty cool watching a fish explode on a topwater lure. My last fish was caught on senko it was about a 1 lb or so.
Water temps were about 61degrees. AIr temp was low 70's.
Could not have possibly come up with a better way to spend the day. |

Always quality time spent on the water when it's spent with the kids!
Sounds like a fun outing......... _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |
