Hit up Burr pond on Monday after getting bored catching trout on tubes and jerk baits all day at Highland. Picked up 2 largemouths both going about 2 pounds on jigs one was brown the other was black, then around 7 pm got slammed on the brown jig in 13 feet of water by a nice 2 pound largemouth.
Waiting for the lilly pads and slop to thicken up so I can stop with this finese crap, and do some real fishing.  |

I got a biggin the other day texas rig with a white gulp 6inch..And for the life of me cant get the pic on here..... |

That fish is a lot bigger than 2 pounds there Ironback!!!!
It's not like you are 5'5 and 150 lbs. That fish is pushing 4 or more...  |

This so funny, I did a double take after reading 2lbs, then seeing the photo of the fish. I said no way is that fish 2 lbs. Most of hardcore guys have an eye for that.

Awesome fish.
Burr Pond brings back nightmares... I went to a Fire fighting class at the fire school up the hit.
Every morning we had to run to the pond with a bucket and bring it bring up the hill full. If the instructor didn't like the amount of water or if it wasn't clean enough for him, you did it all over again.
I made many trips...
