Got on the water at 6am this morning and spent a few hours fishing the CT River north of Old Saybrook. Day started our really nice and calm before the wind started to build.
Heading north around Essex we spotted some surface action and began picking them up there. Total of 5 fish today, 3 keepers (two of which were 30+) are posted here.
Good day, right on for fishing reports and weather reports. The wind picked up heavily by around 9am and the fish were consistent with a little downtime between each - we never doubled up as we have in previous days but fun morning trip!
