Went out about 3:00pm wind was a mite stiff. I think I paddled about 5 miles in the Kayak (felt like 100 miles) Tough fishing 1 Striper, 1LMB Approx 1.75 lbs and a large yellow perch had to be the largest that I have caught in Ct. Striper & LMB were on a Chartruse 4" grub, Yellow was caught on a 3" Black grub. After 6.5hours I was on the way home when the old lady called for some goods form the store. So I figured I would go to the new Stop & Shop In E. Hampton of course with other motives. I stopped at The Salmon River at the Comstock Bridge. which I due on occasion when coming home, I hammerd 6 Trout in about 1 hour largest was 16" Brown. 3 were caught on worms, 3 including the Brown were caught on a gold and red pheobe. Did not have my wadders so I was limited to about 100 yards of shore line. So just remember you don't have to get up a 5:00am to get the goods.
