went to bluff point today, fished the inner pond with clams and nightcrawlers on the bottom. got 2 fish both keepers, one was 12 & 1/4 and the other was about 13. got one on the clams and one on the crawlers. had fun for my first time winter flounder fishing. if you have questions about the rigs let me know.

Good Job, I was there a couple weeks ago and nothing was going on. How far up was your rig from your weight?

Sounds good schmoe, and to anointed , i took an egg sinker with an eye sticking out the top and i slid it up my line, then i tied on my snap swivel. then i added on my rig. if someone can tell me how to post pictures i will show you how i made the rigs and what they look like in a step by step order, but the sinker was anywhere from 6 to 8 inches from my top hook and any where from 11 to 13 inches from my bottom hook depending on the rig because i made them so they aren't exact every time.

Hey annointed...
so long as you have your weight on a good slider, it really won't matter...

Winter Flounder are worm slurpers. so long as they don't feel your weight when they are takin your baits, and you can feel them, you are good.

Austin sounds like me... we make some pretty funky rigs.

Speaking of which...here is another nutty one.... Get those metal "tea balls" you can get boxes of em at flea markets.. fill em with cat food and an egg sinker, and they double as mini-chummers and your weight.

Well, i just cooked up my flounder and it was great! In my opinion it tastes better than the fluke but I like them both. I think i may have to go catch a few more of these little guys. Smile
