|
Anyone with a small boat/kayak/canoe free tomorrow? I'm going back to retrieve a lure from a tree, attempt to retrieve Jed's (Phish) rod from the bottom of the lake, and investigate that shallow, bassy looking area in the far end. If anyone wants to join me, let me know and I'll make a magnet lure for you. _________________ Kira

Seriously, no one wants to use a sick day and fish instead? It's supposed to be 60 degrees with 3-5mph winds...you know you want to! _________________ Kira

I have a better joke. Hopefully it is so incredibly good that someone will want to fish with me tomorrow. 60 degrees! CLOUDY with NO chance of RAIN! No WIND more than 5 mph! Fishing alongside ME...and helping me UNLOAD MY BOAT! Fun stuff, and plenty of pickerel too!
A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel sticking out of his pants.
The Bartender asks, "whats with the wheel?"
The pirate says, "Arrrrr! It's driving me nuts!" _________________ Kira

I'd love to go - especially since you're going to make an attempt for my rod by the lighthouse, but I simply cant. Thanks again for the effort! There are some fish there!!!! |

I'll do my best to cover that area good...the magnets are super-strong and should grab the reel if I get near it. These silly "lures" I made are weedless...maybe I'll use one on a drop shot rig while trolling with the other. I'll let you know how it goes...would be thrilled to get it back for you. _________________ Kira

My magnet lures are pretty sweet, but I suspect they're going to grab everything in my boat and drive me insane.
Leaving for Pickerel now...I'll be in a 6 1/2 ft. white fiberglass eyesore named "DINGHBAT" if anyone cares to join me...the fishing gets real good later in the day. _________________ Kira

When I arrived at 2:30 p.m. NOBODY was there. I knew no one from here would show up, but no one at all? Later on, 1 bass boat passed me & 1 canoe paddled along the opposite side. I first went to the tree where I lost a lure on Sunday. Super-shallow, so I tilted the motor and approached with oars. Got scraped up by the tree, but it was worth it until I discovered that the lure no longer floated.
Next, I went to the area Jed's rod went missing. Trolled slowly with a magnet lure attached to 50lb braid. Caught a very angry slimedart with a 5" senko, but nothing metal ate my magnet lure. I left that spot after about an hour. Sorry, Jed - I really would have liked to get it back for you.
Weather report was wrong...it was cold and WINDY. It even rained a bit when I was as far from the boat launch as humanly possible...way out in "false strike bay." One of my spinning reels literally broke apart into pieces. Not a good day. _________________ Kira
