There are things that people can do about it. A lot of groups do conservation projects to help clean up the waterways and trails in our natural surroundings. I'm a member of the Appalachian Mountain Club which (among many other activities) does trips specifically for cleanups and trail maintenance on bike trails, rivers and hiking trails. BASS Federation Nation does conservation/cleanup work as well. I'm sure letting a group like that know with a letter/email or complaining to the DEP would at the very least plant a seed that people care and might get something going.

Hey Chumley, I agree with you what you have said about Lilly, when they run the water it does seem to get alot of junk, floating around, usually until early summer, We had a night tourny there once and a guy in the club hit a log and damaged his lower unit, usually they run the water during the week and thats when the crap flows, But the fishing can be great, Early spring is probably the worse time to go because you have to dodge everything from basketballs to couches.Take it as a learning lesson, never fish there in early spring, but later in the season it can be pretty good. with alot less crap.

do some thing good and pick some of the crap up and throw it in the woods or trash i do every time i go to any lake if everybody did a little it would be clean
