well with all the rivers being so high and muddy now it is not a real good time to fish for them. The two best places i know of are the CT river (south) and mansfield hollow. _________________ I love rippin on the river!

I fished the Haddam meadows area of the CT river(Shad Shack) for about 2 weeks in the middle of March and the action was very very slow. I went down two days ago and the water was so high I didn't even bother getting out of my truck. hope this helps. If you go, I look forward to your report. |

Im guessin most of the Pike PrimeTime has passed us by now. There may be a few still hanging around, but Im guessin the big girls are making their way back to their lair's.
That doesn't mean its too late to get out there and throw stuff at em.
If and when the poop pile gets down enough where I can get a few hours to get out, that is where Im headed first. |

Is the Shad Shack that beat up building down the road from Haddam MEadows on the other side of the bridge? _________________ Yankees are like snitches...a dying breed |

It is about 1.5 miles past the haddam meadows on the same side of the road as the meadows, about a mile up the street from the Thankful Arnold House. Hope this helps. |
