I got out today and did some tubin. I started at Park Pond. Worked a shoreline just across from the launch. Started with a small Rattle Trap Gold in color. No takers. I switch to a plastic yum dinger. Green and Pearl color. Started geting small taps. I had to put the bait right on shore. They were holding cover big time. The wind started to pick up and my legs got tired after two hours so I called it. I was not done yet. Went to the local Mcdonalds for lunch. After that I went to Burr Pond.
No tubin here. I work the shoreline next to the launch. First cast, right up against the bank and spooked a fish. Crap. Ok they are close here to. Walked over to a spot were there were tons of fish. Every cast they would freak out. I put a 4" paddle tail senko black and red on. That was the key. Second cast small pickeral. Missed a few. Then larry come out to play. I got two small largemouths in a row. They quickly got use to the 4" paddle tail senko, so I switched over to a small spinner bait. Slow rollin it. Had several followers but no takers.
