Went out to the upper moodus resivoir today for a little fishin since i had the day off of school. Well the water was about 1 foot high and the water temp was about 45-46 at 10 am. We started on the west bank and we got nothin. Headed up to the causeway where my friend hooked a nice pickerel on a crankbait. We moved to the island and found a school of nice crappie and we cought quiet a few of them. We also cought some some bass with the x-raps all over the island. By 2 Pm the water temp was 50-51 and the bite shut down.  . The fishing was over all good, ended up with a livewell full of crappie, we got about 5 bass each and about 4 pickerel between us. at least it was beautiful out! |
