why do they regulate that? I fish for strictly recreational purposes and return each catch to where it came from. am I upsetting the ecosystem in anyway? _________________ CDXX - |

I don't know why its closed. Maybe because they stock it with walleye? |

I believe it comes down to property rights/liablity issues. Even though it is in Farmington/New Brittian, the city of Hartford owns it, hence the issue. |

I think it doesn't freezes well thats why its closed during the winter. Actually from Halloween to the 3rd Satuday in April. People tell me its full of springs. |

It's full of 4-inch bass, from my experience. _________________ Kira

Batterson got monster walleyes in there. For me I go to Batterson to just drive around and troll minnow raps. Easily catch a dozen perch or white perch or both and if you go at the right time you can catch a walleye. I've been fishing there since the summer of 08 and so far I've caught 6 walleyes from 11 to 16 inches but I know theres bigger because I seen a guy land a monster had to be 25 plus. The only time I caught bass was on frogs. Last year someone caught a 4 pound largie from there in early spring. |
