Hey Guys.

Just a brief heads up, My 5 year olds wanted to go fishin this past weekend, so I figured we'd soak a few worms in our local YMCA park pond.

I was really expecting 2 bored kids, and 10 homeless worms; but much to my surprise... the Bluegills and what not have the feedbag on already ! and as shallow as a princess pole will cast. They caught a pile of em. and we had to go home for supper, rather than boredom or fight scratches.

Once this rain deluge subsides, and you and your kids wanna head out and do the peanut butter and jelly fishin picnic, the panfish seem to be ready to play.

took my sick 3 year old out on saturday morning after watching fishing shows on espn from 7 - 10am. He was begging to get out there. He has been sick since 3/18 and had major cabin fever. We fished a small local pond and killed the sunnies. Also ended up live lining a sunny and caught a nice 4.2lb bass. He felt great while catching but was coughing up a storm on the ride home. The sun fish are out there and ready to be caught. I had a great time with the little guy.

One thing I always do when I fish for sunnies is bring some bread with me. I break up one slice of bread and throw the pieces into water to get the sunnies close to shore. Then put a worm on a hook with a bobber and then the next thing you know there are 40 to 50 sunnies waiting to be caught Laughing . All fish caught and released, except for the sunny that became bass food Rolling Eyes
