Fished the CT River yesterday. Water temp was in the mid 60's with about 1-2 ft of visibility. Launched from Haddam and fished from Chapman's cove to the Rocky Hill boat launch and back. Managed 5 large mouths all around the 2-3 pound range. 2 Rock Bass - ounces would be my guess, 1 Northern Pike 4lbs, and my first Walleye! It weighed 2.5lbs on the berkley scale - cool looking fish. I caught him in about 2 ft of water on a white spinner bait. The rest of the fish were caught on topwater plugs. Oh yeah, I managed to hook a dead lamprey eel - ewwwwwwww! Smelled like Raw Sewage! The lamprey confirmed the fact that if I ever fall overboard in the CT River, my plan will be to go underwater and breath deeply before any of those naster creatures get a chance to hook onto my ass.
All in all, a decent day.
I have pics on my cell phone, as soon as I get a chance I will post them. _________________ HONEY, I'LL BE HOME FROM FISHING IN A COUPLE OF HOURS, I PROMISE! |

Nice job fish-a-medic! I don't thinkl you'll have to worry about them lamprey eels considering they have better things to bite into than to suckle on your bottoms! _________________ Eat, Sleep, Fish......I Love my SKEETER ZX225!!!
If I didn't have to work for a living....I'd be fishing.
