Hey Billy.
Its really a mixed bag, and Im sure depth is why.
some of the smaller bodies of water, or the ones with good rivers/creeks feedin em, are pretty much wide open. yet others have that grayish mess on top, covering varying amounts... some most, some half... etc.
I would not be draggin a bass boat to Mudge, Coventry, Twin, and other big bodies like that just yet, but the smaller honey holes, are open enough to drag a canoe, kayak, etc. |

Isn't Amos Lake closed right now, as it is a trout lake? _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

Yes Sir.
Amos is closed. At least to law abiding fishermen who buy licenses and what not. |

I've been watching moodus and bashan for 2 weeks everyday 2 times a day. Tuesday am all 3 had ice on them still. at 3pm when i drove by they were all wide open no ice visible at all.....if I'm lucky I'll be out there this weekend. |

SA WWEEEEEET news about Moodus... Early Season, that place can be fun... Im out for this weekend.. at least as far as bass boats, jiggin rods and what not are concerned...
If the weather holds out... gonna take the kids out for white perch.
As far as Congamond... I HEARD yesterday it had slush on it still. but the "channel" that runs thru it, was pretty much open. I havent seen it for myself to verify. Not that I mind that... me and Congamond dont get along. |

JEEZ
Who can keep up with the regs any more??
next weekend sounds like its gonna be a nice one!!
If the river is still swollen, and it may be, with the northern snow melt, plus all this rain, it may be PRIME TIME for early season bassin...
Im JONESin to throw a jig. or a suspending crank. |

Yeah, i think they're gonna be biting pretty good this week seems how we got that rain, and im sure it warmed the water up some. caught a pretty nice smallie last week on a tube jig and half the lake still had ice on it but it's definitely all off now. |
