Hi ALL!
Well I took a ride around the NW corner today to see what ice may be left!
(ALL the following waters) are showing wide Open edges and many showing large open water holes.
To get to what ice is left would require LONG PLANKS or a BOAT!
And with the warm temps this weekend that's it for this season 
(Winchester - Highland - Colebrook - Hogback - Burr - Stillwater )
BOTTOM LINE -> "IT'S OVER" -> NOT WORTH THE TIME OR GAS TO DRIVE UP TO THE NW CORNER
DEFINITLY NOT WORTH THE RISK TO BE ON ANY ICE HERE IN NW CT.

| I went to the west thompson lake today and off the end of peninsula there is a channel that runs threw to the spillway thats thawed,i tried fishing it because it's nice and deep there but i had no luck . All the coves are still frozen and there was a couple guys out the other end ice fishing but i don't think its smart seems how there's open water all over the lake,and the ice that is on the lake doesn't look very safe. But for you hard core ice fishers,there was a couple people out there ice fishing and it might be worth a try but id go like tomorrow because the ice is gonna be gone by next weekend. |

But now what we have been itching for
has begun

| yup,just registered the Nitro, gonna get the truck back on the road this week so i can take the boat out next weekend. |

Got one of my boats ready on Saturday, hooked up with BassGetHooked, and we hit the CT in search of some pike.
Pike were less than willing to play, but Im gonna let BGH write that post, but Day was awesome, BGH is cool, and the boat ran awesome, except for the hooked stump episode. Couldn't ask for more... except more fish. |
