Went down by the old shad shack to see If I could catch any pike on the river. Fished for only about an hour and then it just got too cold. No bites but I did talk to a DEP officer down there who said that about 2 weeks ago the fishing for pike was pretty good with some decent fish being pulled out but that within the last week the fish have really stopped biting. O well it was nice to get out there for a while and hopefully within the next month action will pick up! |

Nice job getting out there at all,..you are definitely hard-core!! Was there much ice? _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

There was ice along the edges but there were enough breaks along the shore that i could get a clean cast out and reel it back all the way to shore without getting snagged on the ice. After yesterdays snow and cold weather this may have changed... |
