If you live close than keep going and you will be rewarded. It took me 4 year to catch a good pike that went 34 inches out of there. Action wise its BANTAM place gets hammered every weekend. Tomorrow is the day with the huge storm just south of us. If I had the right bait I would run up there tomorrow. Just have to deal with the wind.

Me and a buddy fished South Bay @ Bantam from 7 till 4 today. Iced 4 Toothy Critters (biggest was only 28") and 1 Lmb. Drilled too many holes to count. Fished in water from 6' to 20' and staggered baits at various depths. Guess the storm in the mid atlantic wasn't enough to move out the high pressure front. Temp wasn't too bad but it was a little breezy (30+ mph gusts) later in the afternoon.

Be back to hit it again in the morning since I still have some nice bait left.

Ice varied from 12" to 16" so the month of February should be good there Very Happy

Pike move all over depending on where the bait is. I've caught them thru the ice in water from 2' to over 60'.

They will going into pre-spawn right before ice out and the big females should be staging to move into the shallow coves and bays (usually right after ice out). In the next few weeks they should be on a real feeding frenzy and should make for some awesome fishing.

Tomorrow I'll be hitting it again. I'm going to set 3 tip ups with jumbo dead pike pike right on the bottom as pike are scavengers as well as predators. Thumbs Up

I'll be there early if your looking for a partner, I'll be fishing alone as my normal partner is staying home due to valentine's Day.

Fished it today, iced 2 small pike (23", 26") lost a couple at the hole.

Were you fishing in South Bay near the ramp last Sunday?

Plenty of ice at Folly Point. 14" average. Fish were hitting so good never made the move to North Bay, besides it was crowded down there, we had the point to ourselves all day.
