Hi!
Nope! -> Not many posts on here or other forums of guys out on the ice.
It's just really too bitter cold, with the wind making it worse
.
If you where one of those brave enough to get out there -> Fine good for you
Just don't come back and make ANY posts about those that decided to stay home.
Ice Fishing is a test of sportmanship, "NOT of who is MORE MACHO ".
Should be making ice through the weekend even with the snow and wind:!:
Still it's best to spud your way out every few feet, and check ice thikness just to be SAFE
Will be interesting to see what posts are made tomorrow
Best regards,

Fished Huntington State Park in Redding from before sunup today until dark. Wind wasn't that bad, light breeze. Temp was a balmy 4 degrees. 4" solid black ice except near the bridges where it was sketchy. Iced 6 pickerel biggest 4.5 lbs. Released them all to fight another day! All in all not a bad day on the hard water.
Everyone be safe out there. Heading to Houston on business tomorrow so I won't be back out until next Saturday. _________________ CAN'T CATCH FISH SITTING ON THE COUCH! |
