Hi jdpsm3!
Oh My!
There are thousands of ice fishing jigs on the market!
From super micro jigs for pan fish to larger ones for Pike and Lake Trout.
What type of fish are you looking to target
Try this -> in your Google search box type "Ice fishing jigs pictures".
You should see a site showing some jig pictures -> click on that.
Now you will have a page showing many pictures of jigs.
Click on any picture to go to that site!
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info Ive tried swedish pimple a few times no luck. Im not targeting a specific species which may be problem number 1. Just out there trying to catch anything that will bite. |

Try using a swidish pimple then tie a teaser hook about 14" above the lure and put a mealy, piece of night crawler or fish skin on it. Usually this adds scent and sometimes the fish hit the teaser when your line is still. I bottom bounce a jig 1 or 2 times then let stand for 10 to 20 seconds. Remember fish are a bit lethargic in cold water so the slower you fish the better! With trout they are attracted to the flash and when they get close perhaps the scent creates a strike or maybe the motion who really knows!!! I like to jig a hole just after missing a hit on my tip-up. It usually increases my odds of catching fish. Because I've noticed many times over that when I miss a flagged hole that same tip-up will usually produce another flag with 20 minutes or so. So try jigging for at least 20 mins. They say most fish usually have a memory of up to 20 to 30 minutes. If I switch up to jigging momentarily after flags up I sometimes catch more. Not only does jigging keep you occupied while just waiting but its fun when actually nail one!!! Hope you do well jigging and Happy Fishing _________________ Its a whole lot more than just being "LUCKY" |

In-Fisherman magazine has a good article on jigging this month, describing the pros/cons of regular vs. drop shot jigging in the ice using minnows.
In fact, lots of good info in that magazine this month! _________________ Keep 'em hooked and get 'em in the boat! |
