Hi!
I use to fish Cedar a lot.
Right now, (from experience), I have to say that what ice is there is questionable.
Cedar is fed by Pattaconk Brook and has a number of underwater springs.
Should be relatively OK after this cold WX week Jan.1 thru 8.
Still, I'd be very careful

Saw one guy out there fri 1/1/10, had 4" in some holes, went down to 3" as he went out further. Be careful weather hasn't been all that great for making ice yet. Quite a few wet spots on the surface as well. |

Hi!
Take a spud bar and spud your way, every few feet, as you get out on the ice.
Cedar has underwater springs and the snow may hide the thin ice!
Really going out in this wind
